Columbi Salmon brings onboard Hanne Morkemo to drive quality and HSE initiatives

Hanne Morkemo joins Columbi Salmon as Head of Quality and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), bringing deep experience and expertise from the fish farming industry.
– I am delighted to have become part of such a great team, and I look forward to building the future of onshore salmon farming in continental Europe. I have spent most of my professional life in the seafood industry, and I have never been this excited about a project and the team behind it, says Morkemo, who joined Columbi Salmon on 1 September.
Morkemo joins Columbi Salmon from her position as Quality/HSE manager at Norway Royal Salmon (NRS), where she spent three and a half years. At NRS, she was responsible for the development of the company’s quality and HSE systems. Prior to this, Morkemo built her expertise at Marine Harvest, Reinertsen and Lerøy Hydrotech. Morkemo holds a Master in Aquaculture and Quality from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences.
